Very rare orange red vanadium spinel from Burma. 7.xx carat.
GRS Laboratories examined a natural vanadium-spinel of 7.xx ct, described in report, demonstrating good characteristics worthy of a dedicated mention. This remarkable spinel is distinguished by a rare combination of size, a fine orange-red color variety, very good brilliance and transparency, and well-balanced proportions. Analytical and advanced testing traces the origin of this gemstone to the legendary and historical mines of Burma (Myanmar), the prestigious mining area renowned for having produced some of the largest and most significant spinels. The fascinating internal world of classic Burmese spinel inclusions can be witnessed in this particular gemstone. At the time of testing, it was concluded that the gemstone was spared from thermal enhancement. The combination of good attributes that this spinel displays was concluded to be important. Untreated spinels of such size and quality are rare.
